Defibrillator Sign

This Defibrillator (AED) Sign makes it easier for rescuers to locate a defibrillator quickly in an emergency. A quick response when helping a person who is suffering from a cardiac arrest is essential for giving them the best chance of survival.

The new sign design was developed and approved by the Resuscitation Council (UK) and BHF to encourage the early use of defibrillators to improve survival rates of people suffering cardiac arrest. It replaces the current defibrillator symbol of a lightning bolt with the new 'heart starter' symbol which has been developed in consultation with medical professionals and the general public.

The Defibrillator Sign is essential for highlighting the location of Public Access Defibrillators and workplace Defibrillators in the event of an emergency.
