Be ready to respond to a cardiac arrest with the ZOLL AED Plus semi-automatic defibrillator.
About the ZOLL AED Plus semi-automatic defibrillator
The AED Plus from Zoll has two variations; the fully automatic and this semi-automatic version which analyses the patient’s heart to decide when a shock should be delivered and alerts the person giving CPR to tell them to push the button. This makes the AED Plus semi-automatic defibrillator particularly good for workplaces and community locations where responders and first aiders want more control over using the defibrillator and when to deliver the shock.
Why this defibrillator?
The Zoll AED Plus semi-automatic Defibrillator is gives responders and first aiders greater control over delivering the lifesaving shock to the casualty. The semi-automatic feature means that once the pads are attached to casualty and the defibrillator has analysed their rhythm, the device will decide when a shock should be delivered, warn bystanders not to touch the casualty, and alert the responder to push the button to deliver the shock.
Benefits of the AED Plus
The benefits of the AED Plus are:
Semi-automatic, giving greater control over delivering a shock to the casualty.
CPR-D padz set, easy to place on the body and with five year lifespan.
Real CPR Help®, providing visual and audio guidance to help less confident responders.
IP55 rating to protect from dust and water, and tested to ensure reliability.
Brightly coloured case, making it easier to find in an emergency.
What else will you need:
Cabinet or wall bracket to hold your defibrillator.
Defibrillator sign and poster to make the defibrillator easy to find in an emergency.
Robust, reliable, and ready to respond
The Zoll AED Plus semi automatic defibrillator has proven itself as a robust and reliable defibrillator for workplaces and communities that need a defibrillator they can rely on.
Each device is thoroughly tested to ensure it can withstand being dropped during use and still continue to work. It has an Ingress Protection rating of 55, meaning it keeps out dust and water, and its daily self-test feature checks that the batteries are in full working order. The batteries have an anticipated life span five years when in standby mode with automatic checks (please note that regular manual testing, use of the defibrillator to treat a cardiac arrest and extreme temperatures may cause the battery to deplete faster) and the CPR-D padz have a shelf-life of up to 5 years The defibrillator has a 5 year warranty, which can be extended to seven years when registered with the manufacturer.
Lifesaving technology
The AED Plus features Real CPR Help® which provides audio and visual feedback on the CPR being performed on the patient to help the responder achieve the optimum depth and rate of chest compressions. Having this kind of real-time feedback during CPR has been shown to improve the quality of the help given.
The one-piece CPR-D-padz make it quick and easy to apply the pads to someone having a cardiac arrest. Simply place the pads onto the body and pull the tabs to expose the conductive gel on each pad. This limits the chance of gel contamination as it is only exposed when it is in direct contact with the skin. The pads can be used on adults or children which takes away the need to have different pads.
The back-lit display screen presents the elapsed time and number of shocks delivered, critical information needed by emergency services, along with simultaneous text with every audio prompt and a circle of lighted graphical icons that show the responder what to do.

Creating a nation of life savers
Defibrillators save lives. For the 30,000 people who have out-of-hospital cardiac arrests ever year, quickly receiving CPR and an electric shock from a defibrillator gives them the best chance of survival. If a defibrillator is used within four minutes it can increase the person’s chances of survival by three quarters. This is why getting defibrillators into workplaces, communities and public spaces is so important.
You can help to make the UK a country where more people survive cardiac arrest by learning CPR and getting a defibrillator for your local community or workplace.
